Cosme- sounds like an incredible trip! I work for a blog with a target audience of moms. I am in the process of starting a weekly installment that highlights a mom who has either done something remarkable or simply has a good story to tell--think This American Life, except only centered on moms.
I'd love to talk with your Mom about what it was like to go from New York to Colby by bike to send off her son on his first year of school. If your mom is interested in being interviewed (either by phone, email or in person--whatever she would prefer) please give her my contact information.
